For people with dementia to keep track of time
People with dementia can lose the ability to keep track of time and even if it’s day or night. The Dementia Day Clock overcomes this problem by clearly displaying the day and the time as morning, afternoon, evening or night.
Developed by the Bath Institute of Medical Engineers, Occupational Therapists and carers, the Day Clock helps the person with dementia to maintain their daily routine and reduces the worry of missing important events.
Special features include tamper proof button sequencing to ensure random button pressing does not reset the time. The Day Clock also reverts back to the right date and time if accidentally switched off. It has a clear, easy to read display and optional corner lighting to make it more prominent at night.
The Dementia Day Clock can also be used as a digital photo frame by inserting a pre-loaded SD card into the frame.

Bought this for my grandfather and it's made a really positive difference to his every day life. It sounds simple, but it's reassurring for him to be able to see what day it is without having to ask, which makes him feel self-conscious. Would definitely recommend this item.
